Hofstra Splits in San Antonio

The Hofstra Pride spent the weekend in San Antonio against the University of the Incarnate Word. They split the series, and now have a record of 5-6.

In their 9-3 win on Friday, Brian MacDonald had the big blow, a third inning grand slam to break the game open. Nick Kozlowski fired six innings, allowing two earned runs for the win.

They won the next game 4-2. In the 12th inning, senior Matt Ford broke the tie with a two-run home run off Matt Decker. David Jesch started for the Pride and fired seven terrific innings, but did not factor in the decision. Brett Schreiber came on and closed the door with five innings to record the win.
