Kellenberg comes into the season with aspirations to bring a championship home once again. They saw their season come to an end against Chaminade in the last two seasons in the CHSAA Finals. They won back-to-back titles in 2016-17.
They had a great season overall finishing at 17-9. They shined on the mound with a team ERA of just under 2.00.
In total, they graduated 16 players. Ryan Glupe is one of the players that had a big impact on the team who graduated as he led the team with back-to-back gems in the playoffs against St. Anthonys and Chaminade which helped the team fight off elimination and make it to the championship. Another big-time pitcher who graduated was LHP Brendan McCann who received All-Long island second-team honors last season and is now playing at Pace.
Coach Pat Miles believes his team has what it takes to have another great season.
Senior RHP Andrew Koshy (Wake Forest commit) and senior SS Paul Napolitano (High Point-commit) have “all the motivation in the world”. said Coach Miles. He also said that both Andrew and Paul are great team leaders and that they have put in so much work in the off-season trying to get the team ready for the season by setting up and running workouts for the team.
This years team will have 9 college-committed players overall. Other players on the team to watch will be Ryan Sharkey (Mount Saint Vincent-commit), Kenny Noe (Monmouth commit, and Ryan Carroll, a 67 RHP committed to Felician, who is fully healthy after elbow surgery that sidelined him for the season last year.

Coach Miles said that even though we graduated 16 players from our team last year the talent of our plays from the JV level such as Jimmy Ernst, Tommy Pasqua, and Matt Reiter will be able to keep the team in contention.
The infusion of talent from the sophomore class is impressive. Jack Durso is an up-and-coming standout talent that will be impactful to the program in the future. This makes Kellenberg a threat for years to come. The Kellenberg JV team won the JV-A championship last year so the players coming up might be young but they have experience winning.
One outside addition to the program that coach Miles is particularly excited about is the addition of assistant coach Jamie Loeb. Coach Loeb brings extensive knowledge and experience to the baseball program from his previous experience as an assistant coach at NYIT, C.W. Post, and as an assistant scout for the Chicago White Sox organization. Kellenberg will open their season up on March 28th when they take on St. Anthonys at home.
