Dowling split with St. Thomas Aquinas and they are now 31-13 on the season. They have the No. 1 seed in the ECC with a 19-5 conference record.

They won the second game 17-4, with Tom Bammann improving his record to 9-1 on the season. He threw seven innings, allowed two runs while striking out seven. The offense smacked 21 hits; JC Brandmeier went 4-for-5 with five RBI and three runs scored, Andrew Abreu went 3-for-6 with three runs scored, Vinny Orlando went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored and RJ going went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored.

They salvaged a split with a 7-6 win in the final game in 12 innings. Nick Persad recorded the win with 2.2 shutout innings in relief. Together, they used seven pitchers to navigate to the win.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect is that the Golden Lions scored only seven runs on 22 hits. Rob Veltre and Brandmeier both had four hits, Daniel Parisi, Andrew Abreu, Jon Cruz and Mike Rizzitello all had three.

They will take on Bridgeport in the playoffs on Thursday.

Adelphi lost two of three to New Haven, but clinched a playoff spot with their win on Friday. They are now 21-21 on the season.

In the victory, they fought back from a 3-1 sixth inning deficit. Alex Zykoff tied it with a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. The score stayed that way until the bottom of the 12th when Kevin Hutzel won it with a walk-off single.

TJ Santiago fired the first seven innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out five. Mike Cranston retired one batter in relief, and Matt Abramowitz came on to throw 4.2 perfect innings in relief with seven strikeouts for his third win of the year.

They will play the first-round of the playoffs on Wednesday against No. 1 ranked Southern Connecticut.

CW Post split with Queens College this weekend, they fell just shy of a playoff berth with a conference record of 11-13 and 18-19 overall.

They won the first two games 3-1, thanks to complete game wins by Jake DeCarli and Joey Arena. They lost the final two games, however, with the season finale coming on a 6-4 loss. They trailed 6-1 in the seventh inning, but started to rally. Vinny Iacono hit a solo home run in the ninth to cut the deficit to two runs but they were unable to continue the rally.

Molloy clinched the final playoff spot in the ECC with a 12-6 victory over Mercy. They led 10-0 after four innings, and nearly watched it evaporate. Alex Brosnan went eight innings and allowed three earned runs for his third victory of the season. Anthony Eichhorn finished the deal.

Deilyn Guzman led the offense with four hits and three RBI. Nick Gonchar added three hits and four runs scored. Ron Bauer added three hits and two RBI. Anthony Alberghina had two hits and four RBI.

They are now 19-22 overall, and will take on St. Thomas Aquinas this Thursday.
