It was another win-less weekend for the Sea Wolves. They were defeated in North Carolina by Wake Forest, St. Peters and Saint Louis. The latter two losses came in extra-inning heart breakers.
In the second game, they wasted a dominating seven inning, 10-k performance from Brandon McNitt by blowing a ninth inning lead. In the third game, they wasted a three-hit, two RBI performance from Cole Peragine while dropping a disappointing 9-8 game in 12 innings. It was a strange game, they were down 5-0 and roared back to gain the lead after a seven-run fifth inning but relinquished the lead in the ensuing frame.
The team did start 2013 by dropping the first eight games of the season and they are now in danger of repeating that. They will take on Fordham on Saturday with the hopes of getting the first win on the board.
